Colby Shannon serves as President of Texas American Insurers, where he brings over 30 years of experience helping clients protect what matters most. With a strong focus on building relationships and delivering thoughtful guidance, Colby is passionate about helping businesses navigate risk with confidence.

He takes particular pride in leading a talented and dedicated team that shares his commitment to service, integrity, and long-term client relationships. For Colby, insurance isn’t just about policies—it’s about people and protecting the businesses they’ve worked hard to build.

Outside of the office, Colby enjoys cooking, golfing, ballroom dancing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He and his wife, April, have two adult children and a sheepdog named Sullivan. A fan of shows by Taylor Sheridan, Colby also has a passion for travel, with Greece at the top of his list of favorite destinations.

If he weren’t in the insurance business, you’d likely find him running a restaurant—combining his love of food, hospitality, and bringing people together.
